  • Frazier History Museum 829 W Main St Louisville United States (map)
Saluting Our Veterans at the Frazier Museum

Join the Frazier History Museum and Honor Flight Bluegrass as we gather for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day with a special salute to those who served in WWII. We will pay tribute to one of Kentucky’s only living survivors of Pearl Harbor, 100-year old David Payne of Hardin, Kentucky. Other WWII Veterans will join us in person, what an honor to meet our heroes. Other special guests for our short ceremony include WWII Veteran board member Glenn Fisher, former Miss America Heather French Henry who will sing God Bless America, Janet Essenpreis from Ladies for Liberty, WWII memorabilia from Cory Vaughn, and military vehicles from the KILROY Chapter of the MVPA. Plus, how Kentucky became an important storyline for storing documents after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Doors open at 10 am. Full gallery access. Program 11 – 11:30 am.

Public is invited to attend for free with price of Museum admission. Veterans and two family members receive free admission.
