Put on your best glad rags, hop on your broomstick, and head to the Frazier Kentucky History Museum for the first ever Michter’s Spookeasy! This year’s Hotsy-Totsy is Halloween themed, featuring Michter’s tastings paired with novelty candy, fortune telling, a haunted scavenger hunt, and so much more. Witches’ Magic Libations come with every ticket along with live music, ghost stories featuring real Kentucky folklore, and a best dressed contest judged by Caufield’s Novelty & Costumes. From zombie flappers to ghostly villains, this is the one Speakeasy you don’t want to miss, all thanks to our good friends at Michter’s. Live a little, come have a taste!
· Featured guests are Andrea Wilson, Dan McKee, and Joe Magliocco, available to sign bottles.
· Attire is 1920s and/or Halloween (but if you don’t want to dress up, cocktail attire is encouraged!)
· Featured cocktails are an American Pie (made with Michter’s US*1 American whiskey, maple syrup, apple cider, lime juice, and a dehydrated apple and cinnamon stick for garnish) and a Spellbound (made with Farmer’s gin, green Chartreuse, basil eau de vie, blanc vermouth, and a lemon and basil oil droplet as a garnish).
· Michter’s Bourbon tastings will be paired with nostalgic candies crafted between 1896 and 1935! Pairings include Bomberger’s Declaration Kentucky Straight Bourbon with Reese’s mini milk chocolate peanut butter cups and Tootsie Rolls, Shenk’s Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey with Mounds and KIT KAT bars, US*1 Unblended Small Batch American Whiskey with Goetze’s Caramel Creams and SNICKERS minis, and US*1 Kentucky Straight Barrel Strength Bourbon with Lindt LINDOR Pumpkin Spice Truffles and Lindt LINDOR Ghost Chocolates.
