Civil War Artifacts: Up-Close & Personal
11/7/2009            1 to 4 p.m.
Workshop

Get an exclusive look at some of the objects in the Frazier International History Museum’s impressive Civil War collection. Learn how curators care for museum objects, as you put on gloves and handle artifacts that are not normally on public display. The artifacts, several of which were used by Kentuckians, may include a Union side drum, military uniforms, and firearms used on both sides of the conflict. Discover some of the stories behind these historical objects. This course is held at the Frazier International History Museum on Main Street.

Cost for this workshop is $49 prior to October 30, and $59 after October 30.

Instructor: Kelly Williams is the Associate Curator of the Frazier International History Museum. She has a background in U.S. history and is in the process of designing a new Civil War exhibit.
